Art I- Week of November 17th

ART I students are continuing the development of their 12 x18 Themed Room sketch to plan and problem-solve how all the required elements will realistically fill their interior space. 

The completed sketch will have the following items, all derived from the student-chosen theme:

• Six (6) pieces of furniture related to your theme. (balance of form and function).
• Six (6) decorative elements related to your theme.
• Three (3) windows/ doors total.

ART II- NB#1- Your Personality

ART II-

Notebook Assignment #1-  Your Personality  (Due Monday, September 29th)

Our next class project will require you to create a Split-Personality self-portrait which expresses two parts of your personality.

Describe the facets of your personality in (3) three paragraphs. (5 sentences each)

• How do you view your own personality? Why?
• How do you think others view your personality? Why?
• What are some ways you could express parts of your personality through facial expressions, color, extra elements, etc.

ART II SB#3- Metamorphosis

ART II Sketchbook #3- Metamorphosis (Due Monday, September 30th)

-Create a full range value composition that shows at least 5 stages of change from one object into another.
* Arrange stages into an interesting composition.

*(any objects of your choice, from either real observation or image reference)

Art I - Artwork/ Home Connection

Due 6-17

Bring your entire portfolio of artwork that you have created during Art I home with you.

You must share and discuss your work with a parent/guardian. Your parent/guardian must provide an e-mail (to kbayek@wethersfield.me) or written response to the following questions based on viewing and discussing your artwork with you.

1.     What is your opinion of your student’s overall portfolio of work?

2.     What did you find to be the most impressive artwork from the portfolio?

3.     What were the most interesting art facts/information your student shared with you?

4.     Please provide any other comments and/or questions.
