ART I SB# 11- Font search

ART I Sketchbook Assignment #11- Font search
Your next project involves using an initial of your name as the basis of an Abstract design.
  • Research a variety of fonts/ typefaces (styles of lettering) and select two different fonts to use for your first or last initial.
    • You can use the fonts that are available in Microsoft Word.
    • You can also use on fonts found on web sites (1001freefonts.com is a good one).
When you select a font, make sure that:
  • It is easily identifiable as your letter.
  • It is thick enough to paint inside of.
·     You must select 2 different fonts for the same letter.
                  Examples for the letter B:         B    B

Once you select your fonts, increase the point size so that your letter is about 6” tall and bold (with Times font the point size will be 625).

*PRINT your fonts at the required size, and bring them to class.
