Art I- week of October 7th

ART I students have continued to develop skills and techniques related to observational drawing.

Viewfinders were used to find and sketch 5 different interesting areas of the object. The most effective composition was selected as the basis of the final Value Close-Up.

A complete range of value must be observed and developed in order to create the illusion of the three-dimensional form of the object. Desk lamps were set up at each table in order to provide students with a strong light source, making the effect of light on each object more dynamic and obvious. Students were provided with feedback throughout the entire development of their work to ensure understanding and application of learning.
